• The remote control does not have a QWERTY keyboard, but you can connect a wireless USB keyboard to the Blu-Ray player. The wireless keyboard must be USB and be HID-Compliant (Human Interface Device). Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. Samsung

• No the remote does not have a QWERTY keyboard. When using the remote the on-screen keyboard must be used by using the direction buttons on the remote (up, down, left, right).

• The included remote is not QWERTY. I haven't set up a keyboard or tablet to use with the player, so I can't say anything about part 2 of your question.
