This is a 1000 Watt appliance. So with typical 120VAC power in the US, it would draw a sustained amperage of 8.3 Amps at full power. It is best to oversize the circuit (make more amps available as a safety factor). Keep in mind most circuits are 15 or 20 AMP's in the US, so unless you put another high current load item on the same circuit you should be good to go in most circumstances.
