I previously answered this question and reported that it coould not hold a gallon container. That was based on my faulty memory. I went back and actually tried to put a gallon milk container and it did fit easily. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes a gallon of milk will fit on the middle shelf of the beverage center door. The height is very tight and rubs slightly when you pull the gallon out but it does fit and come in and out with relative ease.

I'm not sure but it doesn't look like it would. It would fit on the other door.

No. The shelf will easily accommodate half gallon cartons. Three will fit side by side in that space.
