  • QuestionMy fridge won't get cold and freezer doesn't work. Brand New. I dont know if its in demo mode or what but I set the temp and still not working. Please help if you know how to take it out of demo mode. Do I simply un plug it and then plug it back up?

    Asked by SteelersReign.

    • Answer Hello, Thank you for reaching out. We understand how concerning it is when a brand-new refrigerator is not cooling, and we’re happy to help. Based on your description, the refrigerator is most likely in Demo Mode (also called Cooling Off or Shop Mode). In this mode, the lights and display work, but the refrigerator and freezer will not cool. Please note that simply unplugging and plugging the refrigerator back in will not turn off Demo Mode on this model. To disable it, a specific button combination is required. You can find the step-by-step instructions in the user manual linked below. Please turn to page 42, which explains how to turn off Cooling Off mode: https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/202504/20250411093919642/FDR_RF8000B_DA68-04402B_EN_MES_CFR_250403.pdf Should you need more assistance with your refrigerator, please feel free to get back to us via the following options: 1. • QuestionMy ice maker only makes a small amount of each ice. We’ve had it set up for over 24 hours and it’s only dumped two trays of ice. Anyone else have this issue?

    Asked by Treyes.

    • Answer We are excited to respond to your inquiry, Tiffiny. Let us get you the information you need. A small amount of ice in a new fridge is often due to initial setup factors or water flow issues. Since you've only had it for 24 hours, normal production may not have started yet; it can take up to 24-48 hours for the unit to reach the correct temperature and begin full ice production. If this continues, you could refer to this link. Click the hyperlinks for tips. • QuestionOur supply line to the fridge is from a reverse osmosis filtration system. So we don't want another filter in the fridge. Can we just install a blank?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Greetings, Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Samsung refrigerator model RF29BB8600QLAA. This model was originally developed in 2022. If your specific unit was manufactured or purchased before 2024, you may remove the internal water filter, and the ice maker, water dispenser, and auto-fill features will continue to function normally. No bypass plug is required for these earlier units, as they include a built-in filter bypass mechanism. However, for units manufactured or purchased in 2025 or later, the filter cannot be bypassed. In these newer models, the ice maker and water dispenser will not operate if the filter is removed, as the system requires a filter to be installed. At this time, a bypass filter or plug is not available for these units. When connected to a reverse osmosis (RO) system, you may experience low water pressure or no water flow. In such cases, a booster pump may be required to ensure adequate pressure. To determine the manufacture date of your refrigerator, you will need the serial number. You can find instructions on how to locate your model and serial number here: How to find model code https://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/#find-codes Once you have your serial number, please feel free to contact us through any of the following options so we can assist you in verifying the manufacture date: 1.
