• The cookware has to be magnetic. Place a magnet to the bottom of cookware. If it sticks, it is compatible. The stove swttings menu has a "compatibility" option that will let you know if the cooking utensil is compatible.

• Hi Joe, No, our induction cooktops have a special requirement: all cookware must have a magnetic base. This can be tested with any magnet. The base's magnetic portion should match the element's size. I've shared the manual to learn more about the cookware requirement and how to use the correct size cookware for this range model.
