Yes I believe it would be. It's lightweight and has a lot of features. Sturdy build. I have installed quite a few apps from play store and chrome extensions. I am new to chrome OS but so far I like it. It has expandable storage as well. Screen is very nice. Has laptop mode and tablet mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am new to the Chrome OS and absolutely love it. To answer the question, yes, this chromebook is perfectly suited for a college student. It’s versatility is awesome. I like the capabilities of using it as a tablet and writing with the stylus, or using it for a presentation in tablet mode (reading my notes/slides. Not to mention the way the screen is set up in laptop mode, it’s perfect for reading articles during research. I hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Battery life is not that long. Otherwise it's a great option at the right price. I got mine as open box for $309 but was like new.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I personally think it would be a fantastic laptop for that. Super transportable. Will beat most if not all laptops out there that others have "School Laptops" in terms of gaming and graphical power. The battery last a very long time (it is not removable though), backlit keyboard, and super amazing screen. Perfect for what you want.
