• You will have to take plastic case with clip off or place phone in case with screen faced inwards but you do not have to take rubber casing off the phone hope this helps

• I use this charger for my galaxy s8+ that is protected by a case similar to those otterbox produces and I have no issues charging my device.

• Im not sure about the Otterbox but it works well with the cases i have. 1 is transparent plastic and the other is an Avalri ultra thin case thats great with it. And i have not notice my charger speed changing fro fast to slow its been constant. As a matter of fact before with my S7 Edge it would take hours this one i place my S10+ 5G on it in the morning before leaving for work and the phone will be fully charged in less than a hour
