    • Answer I just found out, since I'll be buying a new phone soon, that the Galaxy A12 has 4-5 G. It automatically will switch to whichever signal is stronger. It does have CDMA but I know nothing about it's compatibility with Tracfone.

  • QuestionDoes this phone update to the latest version of android, and what is the Wi-Fi band?

    • Answer Yes it updates to the latest version. You may get a notification as to update. You then go through the process to start it. It does take awhile to update. I would guess 20-30 minutes. Right now the version is android 11 and will update to 12 very soon but that will be most likely the last update for the A12. I use my PC WIFI to connect while at home. You do not use data that way with carrier. PC has 2.4 and 5 g.
