I'm currently using this phone model on the Verizon network (Lovin' it, btw!). I'm not familiar with Total by Verizon, but I would think that a Verizon phone is a Verizon phone is a Verizon phone. The frequency at which Verizon phones operate shouldn't change from plan to plan. As far as the phone goes: I just went from a Samsung Note to an A53. The note was great, but old and the screen was cracked. This A53 (apart from not having an S Pen) is incredible. The camera is great. Two speakers, so the sound is nice. Fast processer. The screen - Crystal clear clarity with 120hz refresh rate. The only thing I'm not impressed with is the face recognition - but that's not a show stopper for me at all. Hope this helps!
