Yes. Most electronics will work at freezer temperatures, even at 0 degrees F; however, while in your ears, they should stay well above freezer temperatures. Should your ear freeze off, they will no longer keep the buds warm.

I'd imagine you're wearing some kind of head wear like a stocking cap or something, that might mess with the touch pad on the outside of the buds. Best advice I can offer since I didn't design them, if you've noticed a problem with your cell phones in that environment, you might have similar issues with the buds.
