If you bought the phone unlocked you will be able to use it. You only need to go to a store, purchase a line, insert your new chip and you are ready to go. Please, take your phone with you to be sure the new line will work with your phone, for what I understand some companies like Verizon don't work with any phone even if unlocked.

My Samsung galaxy J2 is working good . I sent it to my country in Asia and it work well. I think if it is unlocked you don't have a problem using it here in USA.
