All the minutes will transfer (if you bought 100 minutes and it doubled to 200, then 200 minutes would transfer). But the "doubling" won't transfer, so if you buy 100 minutes on your new phone, you get 100 minutes. For this reason, I bought a bunch of minutes on my old phone just before I got the new one, and I have a ton of minutes now.

Since this is a smart phone, they divided the minutes into texts, data and regular phone minutes. So far am really happy with upgrade.
