Android IS a smart phone. I had the S7 a couple years ago. I think they are up to a 9 now just like Apple. The J7 is just a different model than a S7. Store clerks don't clarify the difference. I feel it is bigger and slower. The reaction time on the touch screen is delayed. It's like a lower quality version in my opinion. The new way that they charge for phones kept me from upgrading to what I had before. This is about 400 cheaper.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can say that he will be in shock at first but add tech coach to his phone if Verizon or a phone company phone help or geek squad to help him adjust to smart phones and the J7 is a perfect choice
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is a Samsung phone will all the standard samsung apps. If you don't like them you can get most of the standard google apps. It is a nice phone but don't compare it to a Pixel 2 or S9 phone.
