If you already have a nanoSIM in you're current device you can just swap the SIM from your current device to this one and everything will stay the same phone number wise. This was replacing my mother's very old Galaxy S3 which had a microSIM so the account had to be re-activated to the SIM that came with the phone. The AT&T phone transfer app during setup took care of the rest for moving apps, contacts and pictures from the old device to the new one.
