• The J7 has slots for 2 sim cards (one is for the USA and the other is for international sim card, in the event that you travel outside of the US and wish to use the phone, you simply purchase a sim card for the country in which you are traveling). We use our phone with only a USA sim card and leave the other slot 'empty'. There is no need to fill both slots with two cards. You only need the one for the USA if that is where you are using the phone. You do no need an international number if you're only using one card. Hope this helps.
