“Micro USB to USB connector stopped working? I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A (SM-T550) and bought this item last week in order to be able to connect my USB flash drive to it; the guy manning the Samsung booth at the Best Buy I bought it at confirmed that it's compatible with that tablet. It worked fine the first time I used it, but I tried to use it again the other day and it didn't recognize the flash drive (the same one I used the first time). I bought another flash drive today, different make (SanDisk as opposed to PNY), and tried plugging it in (I followed the directions and plugged the drive into the connector before attaching it to the tablet); the flash drive's light showed that it was active but I couldn't get it to mount in the settings menu (the USB OTG Storage entry was greyed out). Am I doing something wrong?”

What u need is a scandisk thumb drive with one end a ubs (for computer) the other end for your tab A. SanDisk - Ultra 32GB Micro USB/USB 3.0 Flash Drive - Black they come in 16g as will as23 & 64g.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Actually, the 64GB had about 25% free space, and the other one I tried, the 32GB, was brand-new and empty. I took Larry's suggestion and got the micro-USB (OTG)-to-USB flash drive Sunday, and it works perfectly. In fact, I think I may get another one of those for video files, and use the one I have now for documents and pictures.
