A:Answer I went for an upgrade 2 weeks ago. They are doing away with contracts, so what they are doing now is having us pay full price for the phone. Since nobody would pay $700 up front for a phone, they allow payments added to your bill. The bill is $20 less without being on a contract for whatever reason, and the phone adds $30. So my bill is $10 more a month. Up front, I had to pay taxes which was $70, but best buy gave a $250 gift card. I'm throwing a lot of numbers at you, so in summary : Payed nothing the day i bought the phone, walked away with $140 gift card (after taxes and a nice case), and my bill is $10 more a month. When the phone is payed off, bill will be $20 cheaper than it was before. Sorry for the novel.
