Q: QuestionNote 5 antenna quality?I have the Note 3 and my husband has a different samsung phone. My husband always has better reception for calls and texting. I'd say half the time I can't text. Very frustrating. Can anyone tell me if that has improved with the newer Note?

• A:Answer Size and feel are similar to the iPhone 6 plus. I've had both. I LOVED both! You absolutely cannot go wrong either way. I happen to lean more towards the android because of the freedom to customize with ring tones and widgets. The s pen is so much fun! I'm writing with it right now. Both devices have a premium feel and both have amazing displays. The speaker sounds better on the Note 5, but the camera and video are a little better on the iPhone 6 plus. Either choice is the right one!

Q: QuestionHow much will it cost if I am already a Verizon subscriberI have a galaxy s5 I bought a year and 2 months ago, and it's worn down. The price says 99.99 with subscription is it the same if I already subscribed?

• A:Answer I went for an upgrade 2 weeks ago. They are doing away with contracts, so what they are doing now is having us pay full price for the phone. Since nobody would pay $700 up front for a phone, they allow payments added to your bill. The bill is $20 less without being on a contract for whatever reason, and the phone adds $30. So my bill is $10 more a month. Up front, I had to pay taxes which was $70, but best buy gave a $250 gift card. I'm throwing a lot of numbers at you, so in summary : Payed nothing the day i bought the phone, walked away with $140 gift card (after taxes and a nice case), and my bill is $10 more a month. When the phone is payed off, bill will be $20 cheaper than it was before. Sorry for the novel.

Q: Question$200 Gift Card?I checked the BB site for Verizon phones, and I don't see the $200 gift card offer anymore. Is Best Buy still offering the gift card with the turn in of a working smartphone? It's 09/01/2015. Did the offer end in August? Thanks.

Q: QuestionHow does a contract work?For the 32GB it says its $49.99 with a contract, so do I still have to pay a monthly payment or anything? And if so, how much will it be?

• A:Answer No, the contract locks you in for two years to a phone plan. There is a $40 upgrade fee but no monthly payment for the device.

• A:Answer No, unactivated simply means that there is no plan/contract on the phone, as in you didn't buy the phone and put a number on it. Unlocked means that it can be used on different carriers. So instead of buying a Verizon Note5 or a Sprint Note5, it would simply be a Note5 that you can put on whichever carrier you'd like. Hope that makes sense!

Q: QuestionConsidering 32 gb, help please!I am considering the purchase of a 32gb Galaxy Note 5, but don't really know how much it would store. How many gb are used for the operating system? I plan to use the phone for music, apps and maybe some photos that I might transfer to my laptop. Thanks

• A:Answer This is about the worst place to save money on the new series of Galaxy S5/6 and Note 4/5 phones as you cannot expand the storage any longer. Compounded with this is the fact that the camera on the S6 and Note5 are 15MP (4K UHD resolution) resulting in each picture taking 3-7MB each. Just get the 64GB version and save yourself a lot of frustration going forward. Also, if you don't have it yet, setup free Google Drive storage since that'll give you 15GB of cloud storage for pictures and such.

Q: QuestionTwo Year Plan vs. VerizonHow much more is minimum 2 year contract plan vs. Verizon Edge Plan. Are you penalized with added fees, if you choose a contract over doing monthly installments or buying a phone outright? I currently have two lines and I'm eligible for upgrade.

• A:Answer I called verizon to find out if I would get penalized to upgrade before the end of my 2 year contract and get penalized if I wished to keep a 2 year contract with the same plan. The answer is nope, no penalties. Your new contract is renewed the day you activate your new phone. I kept the same minimum plan and so my phone bill wouldn't change. Verizon let you if you are already an existing customer. Verizon and bestbuy work together as the verizon rep said. I saved an extra $50 by purchasing online through bestbuy.com. Phones are cheaper with bestbuy than with verizon. Anyway, your next bill will be the same as usual if you wish to keep the same plan under a 2 year contract, plus add the phone's activation fee which is $40. You might get a break if you need 2 activations though since you have 2 lines. Your phone's purchase will only be with bestbuy and so won't show up on your verizon bill. About going with the verizon edge, I actually don't know about it except that if you get verizon edge and don't like it you won't be able to go back to your previous plan with the 2 year contract. I chose to renew my 2 year contract as I didn't want to pay full price for my phone. The discounts with 2 year contracts are way worth it. Call verizon, I've got a real nice rep answering every one of my questions. Their customer care has definitely improved over the years. Hooray!

• A:Answer No phone ever comes with a SIM card, and even if someone sold you a phone and gave you their old SIM card, it would be useless to you. Verizon and Best Buy don't charge for new SIM card on new phone purchase or SIM card replacement on existing phone on active plan.

• A:Answer Yup! I started my journey at verizon and they said they would give me $13 for my old crummy windows phone that was on its last breathe. So I went to bestbuy mobile and no questions asked they took it for $200 and threw it in bin. I watched with sheer joy as it landed on its back displaying the cracked screen with mutilated pixels trying to show my windows menu. Note 5 64gb with giftcard applied is $150 before tax, pretty sweet deal.
