• You get a credit on remaining UnUsed Protection time, but you will have to buy a brand new protection plan for your Note 9.

• Depends on how you decided to go about paying for it for your note 8. If you’re paying for it monthly then you should be able to transfer it to your note 9 just make sure you call geek squad and let them know. And make sure you get it in writing somehow. If you went ahead and paid the two-year cost upfront I believe they will possibly prorate you back whatever is left and you can use that towards the new two years for the note 9
