Pacemakers and implantable medical devices should have a minimum separation of six (6) inches between a mobile device and an implantable medical device, such as a pacemaker or cardioverter defibrillator, to avoid potential interference with the medical device. - Answer Water doesn't seem to affect the use of the ring. I cook and bake a lot so my hands are also in water a lot especially over the recent holiday season. I can't say whether water will affect the ring on a long-term basis, but so far it hasn't been an issue with mine. Good luck!
