• I was purchasing it as a Christmas gift and I was required to both pay up front and have it activated immediately. Fortunately I was able to call my carrier and get the service switched back to the old phone until Christmas arrived and it didn't cost me anything extra to reactivate it.

• You have the option of using Spring's easy pay plan where they spread the total price of the device out over your monthly bills for the contract period.

• I do not think sprint does that anymore. When I bought this phone I had to pay for it up front. But there is always that option to lease the phone from sprint with little to no down payment and make monthly installments.

• You can add the phone to your Sprint bill. That's what we did.

• They are able to add it to your account no problem. Best buy can do hurray as much as the sprint store can do.
