A 2-year contract is a contract that lasts for 2 years. That means you are agreeing to stay with T-Mobile for the next 2 years and pay for a monthly plan. If you quit T-Mobile before the end of the contract, you'll have to pay an early termination fee. Best Buy does not have any T-Mobile phones in stock at any of its locations because T-Mobile does not allow Best Buy to carry their phones in stores. You can still go into your local Best Buy and buy a T-Mobile phone and sign up for service -- you'll just have to wait for the phone to be shipped to your home. Instead of getting a Galaxy -- consider getting an iPhone.

A carrier contract is a service agreement between a mobile phone user and service provider in which the user agrees to remain with the carrier for a specified period of time. Best Buy Mobile carries a wide selection of phones both with and without contract obligations.
