“If I were to buy a Samsung Galaxy S10+, would it work with my current phone company, MetroPCS? Could I also use the sim card that I have( that uses MetroPCS )for the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S10+? Do you reccommend that I check with my nearby MetroPCS before?”

If I remember correctly the only way you can use an AT&T (any phone) for Metro PCS is if you purchase the phone outright in full. Meaning no contract, full price. Still then you will have to go through AT&T to have them unlock the device for use on any network carrier. If you have an unlocked device you can in fact use the sim card you currently have.
