- Answer MINE WAS NOT UNLOCKED AND IS TITANIUM COMPLETELY USELESS TO ME!! I CALLED THEIR SERVICE BUREAU TRYING TO HE GET ADVICE OR HELP AND GOT STUCK WITH CRYSTAL WHO WAS ARGUMENTATIVE AND RUDE AND TO GET RID IF ME LEFT ME ON HOLD FOR 38 MINUTES TILL I HUNG UP. CRYSTAL IS A VERY ANGRY YOUNG LADY AND SHOULD BE ON THE FLOOR NOT IN THE SERVICE BUREAU. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING ELECTRONIC FROM BEST BUY AGAIN. DONNA R. WINAUSKI

- Answer Originally, GSM cellphones were restricted to the specific branded cellphone network that provided the phone. Cellphone-network companies did this to ensure recovery of their subsidies for phones they provided at deep discount to their contract-plan consumers. For example, if you contracted with Cingular, then your phone would only work with a Cingular SIM card. "Unlocked" means that a GSM cellphone can work with a SIM card for any GSM cellphone network. When you buy a cellphone outright, you are entitled to have it unlocked. If you have fully paid for a network-restricted T-Mobile phone, T-Mobile will unlock it for you. The only rare exception is if the phone itself was specifically designed to only work with one network. For example, T-Mobile was unable to unlock my very old Sharp TM150. New or Used is irrelevant. - Answer This item is new. It came with all of the cables and manuals. The item is unlocked but it also came with a tmobile sim card.

- Answer Unlocked GSM cellphone will work with any GSM cellphone network provided that the physical size of SIM card is compatible. Just pop in the SIM from whatever network you want to use, and you're good to go. Cheers!

- Answer Factory unlocked. It's a new phone. I'm guessing it was tmobile until they wanted to take it off the shelf since it's outdated and they unlocked them for a quicker sale. You'll have to buy a SIM CARD. Call your carrier and they'll mail you one far cheaper than buying one in a store.

- Answer Originally, Metro PCS was a CDMA-only network, incompatible with GSM cellphones. Now that Metro PCS has merged with T-Mobile and instituted their "Bring your own phone" program, your unlocked GSM cellphone should work just fine on their combined network. Cheers!

- Answer Probably not. Boost Mobile is a CDMA mobile virtual network operator that uses the Sprint network, which is CDMA. Although the S4 is unlocked, it's made for GSM, which is incompatible with CDMA.
