A:AnswerIt's my understanding if you keep your same contract features, that your monthly price should remain the same (I've upgraded through Best Buy twice now). I was on a grandfathered plan and actually reduced my monthly bill a few dollars switching over to the mobile share plan with AT&T for just myself (obviously, this all depends on your contract, your current plan features, upgrade eligibilty, any added features, etc.). You should be able to get a quote at the store, too.
A:AnswerYou can setup a new plan without porting a number if you select the NEXT plan. The major cell companies are no longer accepting NEW 2-year contracts, as they are phasing them out for the more cost-effective Installment Billing options.
A:AnswerNo. I purchased mine at a Best Buy Black Friday sale for $1 and wanted to buy one for my son, and they wouldn't let me take it out of the store without activation. I went ahead and activated the phone & gave it to my son right away, so he could make decisions on the 2 week option to return it, or buy a protection plan for it.
He is absolutely thrilled with the phone and I highly recommend it.
A:AnswerBest Buy has a low price Guarantee for all, products. Noticed a big sign saying so the day I went to the store to,purchase my Samsung S 5. I assume that includes cellphones but I wonder if that is affected by which provider you choose. For instance, I was able to get mine for nothing down and a very good plan because I stuck with at and t next and got a 50$ gift card which took care of the $49 charge for activation. There are lots of great deals on the Samsung S 5 right now. I don't know your situation but right now us a good time to buy one.
A:AnswerYes, I used it in Canada last month without any trouble. You have to watch out for high data roaming fees, but that is the same no matter which phone you get.
