If i purchase the S6 do i have to activate it right away. I am an existing verizon customer,I just want to get this now for the deal. I still have a good working phone and don't want to switch just yet.

It all depends on how you are purchasing the phone. If you are buying the phone threw a contract extention or new contract most of the time you are required to activate the phone in order to special pricing or sale price. If you are buying the phone out right with out contract then you could pretty much activate when ever you would like. Keep in mind once you activate the new phone you can just switch out your sim card back into the old phone and store. Hope this helps.

I am pretty sure BestBuy will make you activate it on site unless you ship it to yourself. Then you can probably wait a while to activate, but I would call you Verizon to verify.

No, buying it from Best Buy, I was able to take it home and activate it the next day. I bought one for my mom too and she waited a week to activate it.
BUT, if you don't activate it within 2 weeks, I think they charge you full price.

Verizon will activate at purchase. Be cautious as there is only 14 return on cell phone.
