A:Answer I think the $1 deal is a way better deal since it's exactly what it says - $1. I would add Geek Squad protection, though. Of course, that means you're really paying about $8 per month and that adds up over the course of a 2 year contract, but it's still cheaper than the installment plan. My phone had a manufacturer malfunction with the internal speaker and I stopped being able to use it for regular conversation after I'd had it for about 6 months. When Geek Squad couldn't fix the problem, I got a new upgraded phone free of charge and my contract didn't start over, so I can still upgrade in another year and a half if I want.
