You can use the gift card for accessories and if you have a down payment they will sometimes let you it for that as well.

They printed the $100 code sheet (its a printed sheet with a redemption barcode, not a gift card), then asked if I wanted to use it right away, which I did. This may not be an option if purchasing online though.
