I always upgrade my phone at best buy and I am still eligible for the offered promotional gift cards.

I believe the $300.00 gift card is good just for the phone purchase. If you open a new phone line, I believe there is an additional $200 gift card available from Verizon. I would advise that you check with your Best Buy store and the Verizon support staff there.
