QuestionFree items with outright purchase?I want to buy the phone outright (with my credit card) and keep my existing plan, whose contract expires in July. I'm fine with renewing my contract as long as I can keep my existing plan. Will I get the free Gear VR and memory card?

- Answer All you need to get the gear vr is the imei and Wi-Fi mac address. Scan a picture of your receipt and you're good to go. All that happens on a Samsung website.

- Answer Headphones did come with the phone. They have their own little plastic carrying case. They have a built in mic and audio controls. There are 2 sets of rubber ear pieces, 2 different sizes. My wife had to leave both sets off as she has tiny ears but they still sound good without them.

- Answer These are actually unrelated. An unlocked phone can be used with multiple carriers, versus those coded to work with only one carrier. Note carriers will provide the unlock code, if you want to move from, say, T-Mobile to AT&T. And there are some differences with phone carrier technologies. For example, the same phone will not work on Verizon and AT&T. You will need a Google account to download Android applications from the Google Play Store. It also opens up other backup, restore and integration features.

- Answer If your old phone is a nano sim, just swap your old card in the new phone. You will have the same number. At some point, I recommend calling ATT CS and giving them your new IMEI, as they will still have your old one on record even though the phone works. I've done this several time, so I know it works. The alternative is to go online at att.com and activate the new sim that comes pre-installed in the phone. All you do is answer a couple of online questions.
