“Does the open box (excellent condition) have same warranty as the new one or is there any exception? I do see that it's applicable for warranty but I also see "warranty exception may apply".”

I did not buy an open box Samsung S7 edge. I bought an unlocked S7 edge. There is a difference between the both. Mine was brand new box never opened. Hope that helped you. The unlocked phones have full warranty for one year.
