• Phones new? Not aware of Best Buy selling used equipment. So the short answer is; Yes! Inserting card? Don't know. Use old number? I always do when I upgrade. Even when changing manufacturers or carriers

• Yes they are new. If you have prepaid service using a SIM card you would insert your existing card into the phone a and keep your same phone number.
