I have $460 left on my sprint phone. Verizon told me they would take my sprint phone and could give me up to a $650 credit for switching. I do not need to pay that $460 off first. BB said $460 paid first null

All of these carriers say they give you a credit for switching. Notice the wording there. They give you a CREDIT for switching which means you will still be responsible for your remaining bill with Sprint and you will be required to provide Verizon with a copy of your bill from Sprint showing paid in full prior to Verizon issuing you the credit for the same and even then, you will only receive the credit after a certain amount of time. (Typically this is 90 days of service.)
