“If I were to order online, I understand its not activated during shipping. How long do I have to activate it? I am ordering for my mom and can't get it to her for 2 weeks and want want the service pulled from her old phone.”

Mine took a week to receive and then I waited 2 weeks to activate them after my cases and screen protectors arrived. No problems at all w/ Verizon.
