This would be dependent on if you are required to make a down payment by the carrier, which is something that wouldn't be determined until your account is actually run either in store or through the website. If there is no down payment required, then you won't pay anything to place the order, however, when you come in to pick up the phone, you will pay the sales tax on the retail price. The upgrade/activation fee will be added to your next bill by the carrier.
