Will the unlocked version work with Verizon? null

"No, the unlocked version will not get any enhanced LTE features, meaning no Wi-Fi Calling and no Voice over LTE. Visual Voicemail may or may not work, might need to install a APK from an outside source."

Yes I have Verizon. I just took my sim card out of my S7 edge and inserted in the S9+ booted right up to my account. Carrier Compatibility AT&T, Consumer Cellular, Cricket, H2O Wireless, Net10, Simple Mobile, Sprint, T-Mobile, TRACFONE, Total Wireless, US Cellular, Verizon

I have Verizon and removed the SIM from my S7 Edge and inserted into my S9. Works fine however I do not have wifi calling or video calling. I do have VoLTE and VVM (Samsung actually has their own app on their app store and it looks/functions a lot like the Verizon one). Hope this helps!

I had an unlocked S8 Plus and it DID NOT have LTE Advanced features with Verizon and there was no way to get them. I would guess that the S9 will be the same.
