App to play music? Since there is a spot for an SD card, if I copy music from our Itunes program onto the card. Can I get an app that will play it?

This tablet comes with Music Hub pre-installed. But you can always find another app for music playing if you want to in the Play Store. (Most are free)

At the time of this post, we aren't aware of one (although, that doesn't mean that one doesn't exist).

The app would be required to support the Apple formats to play on other non-Apple devices. You may want to check with Apple if they are allowing that compatibility and digital rights management with players like Android based Tablets.
