The model I own you can add micro sd card for memory but no SIM card for data service from a cell provider.

It is only wifi capable unless you buy the Galaxy Tab 3 direct from Samsung with the capabilities of hooking it up to a cell that work with a SIM card of some sort. As far as I have heard. The "3" in galaxy tab 3 just signifies that its the 3rd gen tab of the brand. This tablet can and is capable of memory expansion via micro sd card.
