No, your tablet will have a lot of glare and you will not be able to see the screen, just like your phone. I have used mine on a beach as well and had to put a towel or umbrella over myself to see, even with the brightness on the highest setting. I would love to tell you yes, but that's just not the case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Samsung uses essentially the same screen on their tablets as their phones (at least, that's what it looks like when I compare my S5 to my tablet). So, if you are having trouble seeing the screen on your phone, you'll probably have similar troubles with your tablet. So far the only "tablet" I've seen that can really handle glare well when using it for reading is the Kindle which has a model specifically designed to be glare free.
