No, this device is from 2016. It is years out of support and has hundreds of security vulnerabilities at this point. This should NOT be used to access banking or anything else. This runs on Android 5.1.1. Modern Android is at version 10 these days.

It's a standard Android OS. You can set it to auto update or do it manually. Apps have to be updated through the store.
