Will this tablet work with an AT&T account? null

It is a wifi only tablet. this specific model (on the page) is not carrier or sim supported

It does not have cellular capability, but you can buy a mobile hotspot device or use an AT&T smartphone and use the wi-fi hotspot feature to use AT&T cellular internet on the tablet.

If you would like to use the wifi Hotspot device that was recommended to you here, we have a brand new one in the box here to sell-did not use it after buying. Anyone? (Verizon sold it to us) Hoping to sell it!

No, you need to look for a LTE tablet this one is WiFi only. :) So no Sim tray only for memory card.
