Can this unit be upgraded to Oreo 8.0 system? null

That's up to Samsung. The hardware specs should comply, but as of yet, Samsung has not updated beyond 7.1.1. According to this link (see below) Samsung should start rolling out Oreo soon (3rd quarter 2018): https://www.theandroidsoul.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-a-update/
