Play your favorite games with this 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet. A 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera let you capture stunning images and video, and the 1.4GHz processor and 2GB of RAM let you open multiple internet tabs without lag. This Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet has 32GB of flash storage for important files.
A: Most mid-size tablets, including all of the premium Galaxy Tab S2 & S3, and all iPads, use a 4x3 form factor. This tablet, like the old Galaxy Tab Pros, has a 16x9 form. I think the longer, skinnier shape has two important advantages: it is easier to hold single-handed in the portrait orientation; and it is superior for displaying wide-screen videos in the landscape orientation. If you like the 4x3 form, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0. are both on sale now. However, the first does not have premium specifications and the second is already a 2+ year old design. If you like the 16x9 form in a mid-size, mid-priced tablet that will still be relatively new in the year 2020, the Galaxy Tab 8.0 32GB would be a fine choice. It's already on my "wish list."
Q: Is a upgrade to the previous Galaxy Tab A 8' because I just got this one back in the Spring time.
A: Didn't Come out until late October ... If Yours Is 16 Gb , It's a 2016 / early 2017 Model ... If It's a 32 GB , It is a new 2017 Model ... The 32gb is less wide , thinner , & longer ... Also the easiest difference - it has a camera flash ...
Q: This is advertised as 32GB, but many other sites say it's 16 GB. Can anyone clarify this?
A: The Brand New 2017 Is 32 GB , The 2017 & early 8.0 Is 16gb ... Sometimes They Also Call It A Tab A2 ... If It Says 32 That Is The New One ... If It says 16gb That Is The Older Model ... I Had To Wait Awhile For A Cover , Protective Screen , & Still Haven't Got The Keyboard Yet , As Manufacturers Had To Scramble To Make The New Stuff Because It Was So New ...

A: I'm stunned someone actually said that you can't text with this tablet, simply because it is WiFi only. Of course you can! I own over a half dozen, WiFi only tablets, and I can send/receive texts on every single one of them. If you currently have a cell phone plan (mine is with Verizon for example), simply download your provider's texting app from the Google play store, set it up using your mobile phone number info and you're good to go. Heck, I have a 13 year old nephew who got himself one of those online phone numbers. And he uses THAT to text on his WiFi only tablet. So don't pay attention to uniformed info. As for whether this is a good tablet or not...I feel it is excellent for a budget tablet. Samsung has kicked up all of the specs from the 2015 version of this device. And currently being reduced by $30 on sale, you can't knock it! My favorite thing about this version of the Tab A is that they have switched it to a 16:9 aspect ratio display. Perfect for watching video content. If you want a budget tablet with just a little more kick, or prefer one with a 4:3 aspect ratio, I would recommend the Galaxy Tab S2. Was top of the line in it's day! But now, two years removed from it's original release date, it's a Steal as a budget device. Best Buy has them as low as $229 for one that is Open Box. Either way, you can't go wrong with one of these as a budget device! I own one of each.
Q: what year was this tablet made? its says new next to it
A: This tablet was released in 2017
Q: Does this new 2017 version come with Microsoft Office built in like the previous model did?
A: Yes It Does ... But You Have To Pay A Subscription For The Full Programs ... So Far I've Got By Just Using The Installed Version ...
Q: Does this tablet work with the S pen?
A: I Have This New 2017 8.0 32GB Model ... No It Doesn't Work With The S-Pen ...
