Because if you are in a place that doesn't offer Wi-Fi you can still get online with your cellular data. Something nice to always have.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This tablet allows you to use Wi-Fi only if you buy it from Best Buy without a data plan. The only reason a data plan for a tablet is beneficial is so that you can access the internet without needing Wi-Fi.
