Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've never found any tablet that is readable outdoors. The Samsung Tab A is no exception. The tablet screen is "smothered" by the bright ambient light to the point that I can't tell if the tablet is even on. If I know I'm going to be reading outdoors I take a dedicated e-reader such as a Kindle or a Nook.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had it outdoor and as with all types of screens in the genre it is sometimes difficult to read due to the sun overpowering the backlight. In shaded areas it is much better but on the beach I'm gonna have to say it probably will not be good. I would see if a friend had one and test it personally so you know for sure. Good Luck!
