• No you dont have to connect to internet most tablets gps and phones have offline gps chips that can run without internet.

• To use GPS on this device you have to be connected to the Internet unless you download some specific app. This tablet works as a phone and if there is no internet it won't work

• My wife has a Galaxy Tab A, 10" model. It has no cell phone connection, only WiFi. There is an app called OSMAND that you can purchase for around 7 dollars that will give you the ability to download street maps for the US as well as most foreign countries. Works great! We've used it in the states, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Well worth the investment.

• No it does not. You need an internet connection unless you get the 3g one.

• No if you don't purchase internet for the device it will not work like a gps
