“When purchased does it have to be activated with a carrier right away, and is the carrier option open or closed”

• The version we purchased does not require activation at time of purchase, It does not have the ability to have that feature. That is the next version up. Ours syncs with the phone and then allows you to make a call from the watch through the phones functions.
