Q: Can you receive calls and make calls with the samsung galaxy watch smartwatch
A: You can make and receive calls on both versions but need your phone nearby on (Bluetooth version within 30ft) LTE carrier version no smartphone required but uses esim must be registered with ur carrier
A: Yes, up to a certain depth. I swim daily with this watch on, and have even showered. It has a water lock option that plays tunes and vibrates water out of the speaker.
A: You can answer text message by different modes and one of them is writing in your own handwriting, or yes you can type your response, you can add emoji as well. It is so cool to write in your hand writing and it translates to text. My favorite galaxy watch thus far. Before this one I like the galaxy gear second model that came out and after that I wasn't impressed but this watch is amazing.
Q: What other bands are compatible with this watch?
A: The 42mm version has a 20mm standard band. Which let's you have unlimited options to customize. Any 20mm standard watch band will fit it.
A: I just purchased the Galaxy Watch and have the Z Force. Flow does not work, I cannot see my text messages, Pandora radio doesn't work. Emails seem fine, phone works fine. Also after installing the Samsung App on my phone, the phone no longer connects to Uconnect in my truck, meaning I have to press speaker to be hands free. Samsung tech support is horrible!! I bought this watch more for a fitness tracker so I am still deciding on whether or not I'm keeping it. Hope this helps
A: The wifi/Bluetooth version requires a Bluetooth connection to your phone and has to remain within the Bluetooth range of your phone for full functionality. The LTE version acts just like its own cell phone. It doesn't have to be tethered to your phone but you do incur a monthly charge on your phone bill. Most cell phone providers ask for an additional $10/month plus a one-time setup charge. The LTE version uses more battery.
A: Yes, you can text from the watch while it is paired to a phone. Yes, you can use this watch with the Note 8. Bluetooth has a range of approximately 30 feet.
A: I have been using it with my iPhone 6s for 3 weeks now. While I am sure it has tighter integration with Galaxy phones, it is working fine for me. I place and answer calls on Bluetooth and get notifications.
