“Do i need to put a sim card whichever carrier i choose? and how to do it?”

I needed a sim card number only.

No SIM Card. You have to go to your cell phone provider to add the watch to your existing account (Data Plan). That way, the watch can operate independent of your cellphone if that is something you'd like to do.

I dont think so. It looks like you need a bar code from your carrier though in order to set it up.
