- Answer GPS means it does locations, they all do. Unlocked means it has LTE and can be a phone without your actual phone being nearby.

QuestionGPS v. Unlocked. Does it have to be unlocked to make phone calls and send messages? Or can it by GPS and do that if your phone is nearby?

- Answer Hi, I think u r talking about the wifi/bt version vs the LTE. The LTE version works as a phone w/o having your phone nearby (which is nice cuz i don't like to carry my phone) but it overheats eveytime I use it as a phone even when my phone is nearby. The text still works w/o my phone near but i had to buy another phone line. I don't buy Samsung anymore. My galaxy 4 LTE did the same thing n they had years to fix it n didn't. Id save your money n buy a cheap smart wat ch w/wifi n bt so u can still txt n call off your watch when you're phone s nearby.

Whether you're adventurous and tend to take risks or prefer to be cautious and safety-conscious, a Samsung Galaxy watch can provide you with peace of mind. The Galaxy Watch Active2, Galaxy Watch3, and all Wear OS models feature a fall detection capability. If the watch detects a hard fall, it will send an SOS alert. With this setting enabled, your emergency contacts will be notified immediately if you need assistance after a fall. You can also use your Galaxy Watch to measure your Blood Oxygen level. Your blood oxygen level can provide an indication of how effectively your blood is carrying oxygen throughout your body, which in turn can tell you whether you're breathing effectively. This device comes in two different variations, one that is Bluetooth that would need to be within range of your cellular device to have the full functionality and notifications. The other is LTE and would have it's own data plan that would be charged monthly and could be away from your cellular device while still having all of the features available to you.
