You can use the Media Controller on the watch to control music on your phone. You can't listen on the watch since there isn't a speaker on the it.

You're able to control your music that is playing on your phone with the Gear Fit. You're able to: play, pause, next track, previous track, & volume... that's all that I've tried with it so far. It's helpful when your phone is in the arm band or not in your hand when you're running or even if your phone is across the room & you're controlling the music streaming to your surround sound from your phone!

Yes, I have but it plays everything downloaded to include voice messages, so I usually just use my wireless hesdset and run my spotify
